The most beautiful find of March 2024 - qualification

Already at the beginning of March, the winter had definitely left us and thanks to that we were searching like hell. We will see what all will fall out of the qualification, but for me there were a lot of really nice finds. I don't really see a top favourite though.

Last August, a unique copper axe from the 4th to 3rd millennium BC was discovered near Matcze, Poland, near the border with Ukraine, with the help of a metal detector. It is the oldest ever discovered in Poland and quite possibly the oldest copper artefact ever discovered on Polish territory...

Northernmost Bohemia is not an archaeologically rich area. However, this is probably only the current state of knowledge, as the rugged landscape here seems to be full of hills and streams suited not only Mesolithic, but more recently Palaeolithic hunters from the very end of the last Ice Age.
