The gold and amber jewellery was contained in a tomb discovered by archaeologists in Germany in December 2010. Inside was also the skeleton of a Celtic princess. The burial chamber was lifted whole by cranes and transported for further research.

Six years ago, a pair of searchers from Poland found archival wine in a Nazi bunker. They were exploring the cramped maze of Third Reich tunnels near the town of Swinoujscie. It's believed that no one has set foot there in the last 70 years.

Over time we were able to watch videos of the recovery of one of Scotland's greatest treasures, and later waited with baited breath for thethe CT scan of the contents of the unique Carolingian pot, from which conservators then extracted hundreds of beautiful gold and silver artefacts... And today, we're witnessing another success story: The presentation of a 9th century silver and gilded cross in its original glory.

The Crusader army was defeated at Kutná Hora, where the battle broke out on 22 December 1421. Žižek was helped by reinforcements from the Jičín and Turnov regions. Unexpectedly, after the New Year, they all attacked the royal army together, which was caught by surprise.

An important success was scored by the American army at Bastogne in Belgium. They were able to break through the German defenses, even while battling disease and frostbite. The weather helped, and it calmed down on December 26, 1944.
