History hunters - mystery on 23.4.2024

The subject is on LP already under 2013. And even though the finder has stated in the description "Latin bronze application, handed over to archaeologists", it is still in the unclassified.

The most beautiful find of March 2024

We have here the March round of our traditional competition for the most beautiful find of the month. Since winter left us before it even showed up, the search in March was like I certainly don't remember in the last few years.

A medieval Christian grave with a unique set of silver bracketed tombs

An 800-year-old Christian tomb with a treasure trove of silver bractates has been discovered in the grounds of Brahekyrkan Church in Visingsö, Sweden. In the Middle Ages, Christians were rarely buried with grave goods, and it is very rare to discover a burial with more coins in this period. Moreover, some of the coins of this burial were unknown until now.

About the forging of the treasure hunter

About two years ago, I found this fitting. Here on Hunters I was advised to contact Mrs. Naďa Profantová, PhD, CSc. who is a Czech historian and archaeologist specializing in the earlier and middle hillfort period.

This bird landed on the LP pole in 2019 and since then the determination has not been refined. So maybe now as part of the mystery someone will move it.

The find was added to the LP by Petr (Jaccob) and although it has been somehow determined, doubts remain.
