Where did the Nazi gold go? The gold train in Poland

It is generally known that the Nazis bought up huge amounts of valuables, art objects and especially gold in occupied Europe. They tried to take this loot to the safety of Germany during the retreat, or hid it in times of need. This created many treasures that are still being sought today. The problem with prospectors is that they usually lack critical thinking, focus on one (often dubious) piece of information that they believe, and fanatically embark on a search. One of these great and legendary Nazi treasures is the "Golden Train", which is thegold, art and valuables from the advancing Red Army from the city of Breslau (nowadays Wroclaw in Czech).

He was a serious shooter from his youth, who was not afraid of anything and went headlong into every adventure. A few days ago I was driving between Oslov and Vlastec in South Bohemia and my attention was drawn to a Stalinec crawler bulldozer standing by the roadside in a field. My ancestors were farmers, my grandfather was a farmer and we still own a nice few acres of fields and meadows. Therefore, this topic is somehow close to my heart even though the consequences of this action were fatal.The ploughing up of meadows and copses is nowadays often associated with landscape ecology, and this intervention in the Czech landscape was clearly a serious intervention and it changed and irreversibly damaged the Czech landscape.

Jewish Treasure from World War II

Last week, a Jewish treasure from the Second World War was uncovered during construction work in Polocka Street in Łódź. In the last six months, this is the second similar set of objects stored in fear of the Nazis, quite possibly collected by several families together before being transported to a concentration camp.

Dictator's watch sold for 26.5 million

The object, which gives you "chills", was offered by the American auction house Alexander Historical Auctions. It is a gold watch of Adolf Hitler. It sold for 1.1 million dollars (26.5 million crowns). In the past, the auction house has, for example, auctioned the dictator's toilet seat. The auction outraged the Jews.

Poles find mass graves of Nazi victims

Graves with the remains of 8 000 people were found by investigators in Poland near the site of the Soldau concentration camp. The Germans wanted to hide the burial pits. They burned the bodies, buried them and planted trees. The victims included members of the Polish elite, soldiers, resistance fighters and Jews.

13.5.2019 24 jewels and 2776 gold and silver coins

A real treasure was discovered in the cellar of a house in the former Jewish ghetto in Keszthely. It contained 24 jewels and 2,776 rare gold and silver coins. The original owners of this wealth are believed to have died in a concentration camp.
