They completed a new trail leading in the footsteps of the Seven Years' War seven years ago in Liberec. This first worldwide conflict took place in 1757. Tourists can find one stop, for example, at the Liberec chateau, where there used to be an infirmary.

The memorable battle of Liberec took place on April 21, 1757 and was part of the so-called Prussian-Austrian front. We wrote about the battle in more detail here: The Battle of Liberec

They named the nature trail with information boards as Memorial Places of the Battle of Liberec. It was created thanks to the beneficial company Archa 13. It contains eight stops, which are located throughout the city. God's blessing was given to the trail in early June 2014.

Tourists can find a stop, for example, at the Liberec chateau, where the infirmary was located during the war. Archaeologists have even found the skeletons of soldiers who died there as a result of injuries or epidemics of typhus on Neruda Square in Liberec.

Then the trail will take tourists to the so-called Keilova hill, on Kubelíkova street or above the Ostašov church. Walking the whole trail is quite time consuming. Petr Šabaka gave the blessing. He pointed out that the monuments have always been in Liberec, we just didn't notice them.

"I believe that the nature trail will attract not only the interest of tourists, but also the inhabitants of Liberec, who can also get to know their roots thanks to it," said Sabaka, who wished those present in his prayer that their senses could reveal everything hidden in such a way. as for centuries, the remnants of the battle of Liberec lay hidden in the ground.

The individual stops of the nature trail simply lead exactly to the places where history really went. Archa 13 placed the panels where the specific events took place. "When people have at least a little imagination and devote themselves to the text, they can imagine how it all went. And also what Liberec probably looked like a quarter of a century ago. I recommend taking the nature trail as a trip. When someone really wants to walk through all eight places, it's for the whole day. They are located all over Liberec, from the center to Karlinka, "said Petr Pimek from Archa 13.

The company has also published a guide with a map, which is accompanied by photos. In addition to the eight known stops, it will lead tourists to the ninth, which tells of the siege of Zittau. But there is no separate information board.
