10 November 2021 - 3 July 2022

The exhibition will be devoted to the 80th anniversary of the discovery of one of the "top" objects in the collections of the Institute of Archaeology of the MZM - a teapot with bronze applications from the Celtic burial site in Brno-Maloměřice (found on 3 May 1941).

The basis of the exhibition is the presentation of this find, both its individual segments and its latest three-dimensional reconstruction. The main, supporting theme is the presentation of one of the interesting interpretations of the whole set, which makes the teapot, considered a cult object used in funeral rituals, interprets the jug as a stylized star map of the sky over Brno in the last quarter of the 3rd century. BC. This main theme will be set within a framework formed by the presentation of important units or interesting finds from the graves surrounding the site, which form the complex of the largest Celtic necropolis in Moravia.
