Depth difference between 28 cm 2D and 28x18 cm 2D coils for Anfibio and Kruzer detectors

The moment we published the article about the new TMD 101 detector, we also started to receive questions about the difference in range between the biaxial 28x18 cm 2D and the new round 28 cm 2D. Since the difference is really significant, Peter and I did some experiments just to check.

The difference in range on individual coins is around 5 cm. Basically, the bigger the coin, the bigger the difference. The 5 cm is for the 1 Kč. For larger objects the difference is even more significant and there is no problem to reach even 20 cm, for example a 10l canister. The round shape simply suits the depth and, despite the many experiments we have seen in this respect, it has always proved itself time and again.

The video shows a small comparison. The Multi Kruzer is set in 4 tone and with a sensitivity of 70. The coins have been stored on the polygon for many years. By the way, we want to do a little action before the summer when we will dig up the old polygon and make a new one. Then we will put the video on LP.
