The Return to Bull Rock is the main and unique event in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the discovery of Henry Wankel in Bull Rock. Its aim is to popularize archaeology and scientific activity and research in a popular way using experimental techniques.
The event will include a presentation of prehistoric crafts in the vicinity of the cave, the areas in front of the Bull Rock and at the Old Ironworks will be connected. In front of the cave there will be short popularization lectures, princesses, costumes and duels in the afternoon. There will also be a tasting of prehistoric beer. For the last time this year, the museum will display a collection of archaeological finds on loan from the Naturhistorisches Museum in Viennaday, as well as an exact copy of the bull statue from Bull Rock and the original skull of the "Princess of Bull Rock".
10:00-18:00 - craft demonstrations - bronze casting, salt merchant, farmer, carpenter, blacksmith, textile crafts
13:00-13:30 - parade
13:30 - 15:30 - cultural programme in front of the cave - moderated by Tomáš Hanák - duels, christening of a chariot, presentation of Hallstatt clothing, tasting of prehistoric beer
15:30 - 18:00 - transfer of the wagon to the cave, period music in the anteroom
