Umarex
Umarex GmbH & Co. KG is a German arms manufacturer based in Arnsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia. The company was founded in 1972 and specializes in the production of air guns, airsoft guns, paintball markers and gas signal guns.
History and acquisitions:
In 1993, Umarex acquired Carl Walther GmbH, a company known for manufacturing firearms, and continued production under the Walther brand in Ulm and Arnsberg. In 2010, the company expanded its portfolio by acquiring the firearms division of Röhm GmbH.
Products and licenses:
Umarex is known for the production of CO₂ powered replica firearms, which are licensed from renowned brands such as Beretta, Browning, Colt, Heckler & Koch, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Glock and Walther. These replicas are prized for their fidelity to the originals and quality craftsmanship.
International:
In 2006, the North American branch of Umarex USA was established and is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This branch distributes Umarex products in the U.S. market and also offers private label products, including airsoft guns under the Tactical Force and Combat Zone brands.
