The Celestron OMNI eyepiece series offers reliable optical quality, a solid metal body and great value for money. The 4 mm model provides very high magnification, ideal for close-up viewing of the Moon, planets and binary stars, especially in very good atmospheric conditions.

Recommendations for use:

The 4mm eyepiece is ideal for:

• Observing details on the Moon and planets - such as craters, rings of Saturn or structures on Mars.

• Separating tight binaries - if the atmosphere is calm enough.

• Medium and larger telescopes (e.g. 130/900, 150/1200, C6 and larger) - the eyepiece makes the most of their resolving power.

Note: Short focal lengths are demanding on both the quality of the atmosphere (seeing) and the precision of the focus. In less than ideal conditions, the image may be blurry or unsteady.

Comparison with other eyepieces:

• 6 mm / 9 mm - higher viewing comfort, suitable for less ideal conditions.

• 12 mm or more - lower magnification, more suitable for clearer views and longer observation.
