Garrett The Ace 250 is a metal detector that I had in my hands a few days after it came off the factory line. The Garrett Ace 250 detector "for a few pennies" amazed me with its performance. I have used it from the beginning as a travel metal detector and have really used it extensively.

Then when the 12x9" ACE PROformance coil came along, the Garrett Ace 250 metal detector started working at decent depths. So I owe a lot of wheels in my collection to the two hundred and fifty. I take the Garrett ACE 250 as a loaner detector to weekend events. I am always willing to do any test with it.

The ACE series incorporates a lot of technology carried over from the GTI and GTP series and it shows in the performance.
Garrett The ACE 250 is simply a success.

In terms of range, the benchmark tests we did in many different soils (from the pleasant sands of Mladoboleslav to the heavily mineralized soils around the ore mines in Jilové near Prague) show that the "dug" signals of the 1Kcs coin range from 15 to 20 cm depending on the soil composition, with the new 12x9 ACE PROformancese coil you get a few centimeters deeper. The coil can also be used for the Metal Detector Garrett Ace 150.
