The VANQUISH 540 is a high-end detector designed for those looking for the highest performance with an extremely simple setup. The detector is equipped with Multi IQ technology and also features a larger 30x25 cm 2D coil compared to the 340 and 440 versions. The Vanquish 540 can be handled by any user and the detector can cope with all ground conditions and thus all types of targets. The detector is also equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, aptx™ Low Latency for the use of wireless headphones. Also really interesting is the red backlight which is very nice.

Detector design

For the Vanquish detector, Minelab kind of goes back to its original roots as we all know them from the Explorer and E-Trac detector lines. I have to admit that I literally fell in love with the design the first time I saw it. The construction is very rigid, the locks are of high quality and the storage is also excellent. In the animation you can see how the detector is folded. From this you can see that, for example, the elbow distance adjustment will now be really accurate to millimeters.

For the smallest possible folding, however, the detector can be folded in another way. The rod from the elbow can be pulled out and pushed in from the other side, which of course we immediately did. Although Minelab lists the length of the folded detector as 76 cm, after turning the elbow, you get to 68 cm.
