C.Scope MXL4 DGB utility locator

The new C.Scope MXL4 DGB is high performance and specially designed to professionally detect, identify and trace specific underground pipes and cables reliably and accurately. It is designed to work in places with a large number of networks. This is especially useful for those who want to accurately identify the course of a particular engineering network between other lines.

The MXL4DGB is packed with new features that allow operators to find all types of utilities faster and deeper. All new functions are then directed to reduce the possibility of human error.

The MXL4DGB locator is controlled by a powerful signal processor. Advanced software allows the MXL4DGB to achieve performance levels usually only with geodetic instruments. The MXL4 provides better signal detection sensitivity and better interference suppression, so the locator is able to detect the smallest signals even in areas with high utility density and large amounts of electromagnetic interference.

Using a new simultaneous frequency 33kHz and 131 kHz gives MXL4DGB even larger trace and detection capabilities. The dual signal is ideal for both standard search and detection of the most difficult to identify networks such as sheathed optical conductors. However, MXL4DGB also has the ability to use 8 kHz and 512 / 640Hz frequencies for special tracking in Generator mode.

FOUR DETECTION MODES

The MXL4DGB has four detection modes that you choose according to what and where you want to search. Each mode has its specific use and advantages:

POWER mode: is designed to search for live electrical wires. The mode operates on the mains frequency.
RADIO mode: detects all networks with a high-precision passive coil inside the locator. Electromagnetic radiation is induced on all metal engineering networks. This allows you to accurately locate all such nets up to a depth of 2 meters .
GENERATOR mode: used to detect the 33kHz and 131 kHz signals applied to the search network using the MXT generator. The combination of a high frequency with a 33 kHz signal makes it possible to detect very small conductors perfectly. Generator mode is also used when working with C.Scope probes when setting out non-metallic pipelines. However, the MXL4DGB locator is capable of using two more 8 kHz and 512 / 640Hz operating frequencies. The operating frequency of 8 kHz is used for long tracking. Extremely low working frequency 512/640 Hz for special search for the weakest lines.
ALLSCAN mode: detects all frequencies and all types of signals. With this mode, you can detect unusual signals that may appear in the frequency gaps between the conventional Power, Radio and Generator modes , and are mainly used for the final inspection before kickoff.

Human error often contributes to the fact that an engineering network may not be correctly identified. The new MXL4DGB locator tries all these options where the operator can make a mistake. Dynamic swing sensor and daily auto test are used to limit the possibility of error. The data logging option can also provide invaluable feedback on your employees' workflows. You will be able to easily identify their technical shortcomings and need to be resolved by subsequent additional training.

Accurate signal strength measurement (current measurement): With the MXL4DGB you can monitor the true signal strength! When used in conjunction with the MXL4DGB locator, the MXT4DGB signal generator can separate the networks from each other regardless of their depth of storage. This feature allows you to separate individual networks that would otherwise be very difficult to identify or not at all.

Depth Measurement: Using the MXT4DGB Generator, the Locator makes it easy to measure utility depths at the touch of a button.

Dynamic Motion Sensor : If it turns out that the operator with the locator is too rocking while working, a warning tone sounds. This will help you to maintain a consistent search technique.

Automatic Daily Test (ADST) : The MXL4DGB has complex self-test circuits. The ADST tests the locator every day when it is turned on for the first time, including the receiving antennas. This test can be saved and the operator with the locator is always sure that his instrument is in perfect order and in optimal condition for use.

DATA : MXL4DGB is available with or without data logging capability. The version that allows data collection will record daily how the locator was used. The bus capacity is designed to handle 12 months of operation before data is overwritten. Data can be saved using a USB connection before overwriting. The data socket is located in the battery compartment.

DATA LOG TRANSFER via Bluetooth ™ : The MXL4DGB data collection has the additional possibility to use the practical focus of the searched networks via Bluetooth ™ and your phone. C.Scope offers a free download of the RELAY App, which uses Bluetooth ™ wireless connectivity for CXL data protocols for smartphones and tablets. You can then email them to your PC for analysis. This provides a very practical way to instantly transfer data from the locator.

GPS MAPPING THROUGH Bluetooth ™ : With MXL4DGB and optional Bluetooth ™ installation, you can accurately record your work on Google maps, including depth recordings, etc.

DATA LOG ANALYSIS : C.Scope offers a free download of the XL2 Edition PC Toolkit, which allows you to manipulate stored data protocols and export them to tables and graphs that illustrate all aspects of use.

LCD : MXL4DGB has a large, clear and easy-to-read backlit LCD display mounted behind a protective polycarbonate lens. The display shows the detection mode, peak signal level, signal strength and battery status.

Loudspeaker : The loudspeaker can be easily detached for use in a noisy working environment in buildings where the use of headphones could easily cause work injury. The speaker can be attached to the head using a twisted wire.

Robust and durable construction : The MXL4DGB is rugged yet very lightweight. It uses the construction of two walls. The locator also meets IP 65 protection against dust and water ingress.

CALIBRATION : MXL4DGB does not require periodic re - calibration which reduces operating costs.
