We have here the March round of our traditional competition for the most beautiful find of the month. Since winter left us before it even showed up, the search in March was like I certainly don't remember in the last few years.

A 2500-year-old perfectly preserved bronze helmet has been discovered in Croatia

An ancient Greco-Illyrian helmet was discovered during the excavation of an archaeological burial site on the Croatian Pelješac peninsula about 40 km from Dubrovnik. It was probably left at the site as a memento of a deceased soldier. This is the second helmet - the first and younger one was discovered just ten metres away.

The subject is on LP already under 2013. And even though the finder has stated in the description "Latin bronze application, handed over to archaeologists", it is still in the unclassified.
