750 years old treasure of bractheat

In Szprotawa, Poland, a treasure trove of medieval bracket coins from the second half of the 13th century was discovered during a rescue archaeological research. These are the so-called broad Silesian brakteats, which were originally stacked "in rollers" and then put into a tightly tied linen bag.

A detectorist has discovered a totally unique medieval seal

A medieval seal die with several unique and previously unknown elements has been discovered in a field near Horsham St Faith, north of Norwich in south-east England, using a metal detector. The massive silver and gilt seal dates from the late 13th or early 14th century. It opens a window into the past, when everyday life was linked to religious practices and personal spirituality.

A treasure trove of rare silver and bronze coins from the end of the 1st century BC was recently discovered at the archaeological site of ancient Claterna. Recreational diver discovers up to 50,000 4th century Roman coins

Off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, a huge collection of tens of thousands of coins dating from around 340 AD was found on the seabed near the town of Arzachena. Nearly all of them are in very good condition, and even the worse ones are all still legible today.
