The third edition of the Living History festival deals with the culture of the first centuries AD in Bohemia and popularises the Germanic tribe of the Marcomanni, whose homeland is believed to be in Bohemia.
This time we will focus thematically on the women of our Germanic tribes - what was their position in society, what they could do, how they dressed and decorated themselves. Many beautiful objects were of course imported from the Roman Empire. Women will simply play the main role this time. But of course, that doesn't mean that their husbands, fathers and sons will not also be present with their weapons and their desire to fight.
In advance, you can look forward to a guided tour of the Marcomanni Nature Trail with an archaeologist, a lecture on Germanic women, fashion demonstrations and hair and clothing alterations. There will certainly be a rattling of the weapons of Germanic warriors and a final battle scene.

A budeš tam za muže nebo za ženu? 
Elmara - jsem staromilec a tradicionalista. Nefandím příliš novým společenským a kulturním trendům, takže za dobře živeného, vousatého, barbarského muže A letos rád přenechám prim a hlavní pozornost našim holkám a v ústraní si pojedu pěkně na volnoběh a budu propadat obžerství a opilství - ostatně, už římský historik Tacitus zmiňuje, že germánští muži byli často zkoulovaní odporným a hořkým nápojem z kvašeného obilí, kterému nezřízeně holdovali. Musím být historicky věrný
Bavit se popíjením odporného hořkého nápoje uprostřed party hezký holek zní jako dobrý plán :)
