With the arrival of the new M9 probe for Minelab Manticore, we have prepared a small comparison and a description of how and where it is best to use the coil. Graph added!
Recently Minelab released a nice official ID scale comparison chart between the older Multi IQ system (Vanquish and Equinox 800/600 series) and the new scale (Manticore, Equinox 900/700 and X-terra Pro).
ID MAP, or chart as you will, is a unique feature of the Minelab Manticore metal detector. It allows the user to track multiple targets at once and work in multiple layers.
Searching in the water is a seasonal thing for me, when it's hot why not try the water. Last year I used the XP DEUS 2 detector to vacuum the sea in Krk, Croatia and this year I'm going to test the beaches and water in southern Italy with the new Manta from Minelab.
Correctly setting up this feature is an essential part of setting up Manticore, and since we get the highest number of questions about setting it up, we'll devote a separate article to it.
A few days ago the first update of Minelab Manticore appeared and since Patro and I have been involved in its ongoing testing, we are happy to write a few comments.
