C.Scope SGA4 signal generator

The new SGA4 signal generator is an important addition to the CXL4 utility locator. By using the generator you can significantly improve the accuracy and efficiency of your work. Especially when searching for weak signals, the use of the generator is very important. The generator transmits at a combined frequency of 33 kHz and 131 kHz which greatly increases the probability that you will not miss any network.

The new SGA4 and SGV4 series of generators set a new high standard in the industry. It uses all of C.Sccope's original technologies and adds a number of new ones. This includes features that now allow operators to work even more easily and accurately.

The new SGA4 and SGV4 series of generators can transmit signals to deeper and harder to detect pipes and conductors. Tracing can be done over longer distances and you have the ability to control the power. Both generators offer both continuous signal output and intermittent for clearer differentiation and easier tracing.

MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION

As with all C.Scope locators, there is no need to do any regular calibration.

Three application options:

• Direct connection - using wires (included with the generator).
• Inductive - the generator transmits a signal and by placing it on or above the network to be searched, the signal will transmit itself.
• Using inductive clamps - mainly used with electrical wires

LCD, performance, design and warranty

• High Resolution Liquid Crystal Display (SGV4 only). SGV4 has a large , bright and easy to read backlit LCD display mounted under a protective polycarbonate lens. The display clearly shows all functions, power setting information and battery status.
• The SGA2 and SGV2 have a three-year warranty
• Power: The SGA4/SGV4 have identical 1W power output, this provides good performance for long net monitoring while avoiding interference. The SGA model has two power level settings "high and low". In the SGV4 which also features a clear LCD, the level can be adjusted in four steps.
• Speaker: the SG4/SGV4 have a clear audio signal output. There is also a lower level setting in places where you might disturb someone.
• Audio Output: the SGA4 / SGV4 offer a choice of two output types, pulsed or continuous. The pulse output allows the operator to better navigate in areas of high interference, and the continuous is more comfortable for longer traces.
• Accessories: both SGA4/SGV4 generators, have a removable box at their bottom with accessories, which are jumper wires, ground pin magnets and an extension ground wire.
• Construction: the construction of the C.Scope generators is robust and very durable. During development, it was taken into account that the generator will be in dusty building environments and thus the generators are IP 65 rated against dust and water ingress.
• Calibration: the SGA4 and SGV4 do not require regular re-calibration, which helps to reduce operating costs.
• Service: C.Scope only uses its own certified service partners. For the Czech and Slovak Republics this is Marek Mlejnský, a company that manufactures, services and sells metal detectors.
