The book presents a treatment of the topic of finds of ancient coins in the Czech territory and provides a new annotated catalogue of these finds. Thanks to this source base, it is possible to summarize the basic knowledge about the individual stages as well as the main tendencies of importing ancient coins into the Czech lands. The most important of the questions related to ancient coin imports is the question of the function of ancient coins in barbarism. It is obvious that coins served there not only as a source of precious metals or as ornaments, but also as real tender.
