The Land Ranger Pro is currently the second highest model in the new model range Bounty Hunter. The detector has a number of advanced features that, despite its low price, make it a mid-range detector rather than a beginner's detector. The detector has a very good range and sensitivity and thanks to the 28 cm diameter biaxial 2D probe, which is used by many other top detectors from First Texas, also very good coverage. However, the detector is specially equipped with the Detech Ultimate 2D 33cm depth coil.

The Land Ranger Pro is completely out of its price range with its equipment and it is certainly worth describing everything that can actually be set up and customised. Advanced features such as V-Brake or the ID 2 and Archaeology programs, along with precise ground effect tuning, will not only give you a higher depth range and better separation, but also a high level of comfort when searching.

Sensitivity - standard sensitivity setting ranging from 0 to 10.
Volume - detector volume setting from 0 to 10.
Disk Level - Discrimination setting in single numbers from 0 to 60.
V-Break - a discriminative function that allows for discrimination modes to emphasize (vary) the iron tone, and disc 2 actually determines where the deep iron tone is heard and where the color is heard.
Notch - a classic notch function allowing individual ID numbers to be filtered out.

The software is really rich and unparalleled in its price class.

All Metal - standard mode without any discrimination.
A - Archaeology; a preset detector mode with low iron rejection.
J - Jewellery; a preset mode for finding jewellery and generally the smallest targets with a low level of iron rejection.
C - Coins; a preset mode with relatively high discrimination for iron and waste rejection.
Disc 2 - Two-tone discriminating, fully preset mode with tone stretching for best separation properties.
Disc 3 - three tone discriminating fully adjustable mode
Disc 4 - four tone discriminating fully adjustable mode

Ground tuning

The Land Ranger Pro has the option of ground tuning. Setting this up is simple, basically you just hold down the GB button and pump over soil that contains no metal. The LCD will display a GB number and you are done tuning.
