Fisher The F44 is the latest digital metal detector that is very light weight, has great balance, offers good depth range, resolution and separation. The high quality and clear LCD screen displays a number corresponding to the electromagnetic conductivity of the signalled metal. A deep tone indicates the presence of iron, a medium tone corresponds to materials such as foil or alloys, and a high tone highlights pure metal coins. It also offers information such as the approximate depth of the object, the sensitivity level or the current battery status.

Pinpointing and depth measurement, where simply holding down the "PINPOINT" button will increase the intensity of the tone.The intensity of the tone starts to increase when you approach the object you are looking for and reaches its maximum just above it. Depth in inches is displayed using a digital tape measure.
