The Minelab E-Trac metal detector is the most advanced detector from Minelab , which uses FBS broadband technology. The detector is characterized by a rigid but lightweight construction. The most modern materials such as carbon fibers were used in its construction. The control box has intuitively placed controls and a large, high-resolution LCD for working in all lighting conditions. The possibility of backlighting is a matter of course.
With the E-Trac detector, you also have the opportunity to connect your device to a personal computer for the first time in the history of the hunting detector. This allows you to upload detector settings, discrimination, etc. The package also includes original software for working with E-Trac on your PC.
Minelab E-Trac uses a brand new, 32-bit processor operating at 40MHz. The detector has thus accelerated significantly and its response with its speed begins to resemble analog devices.
His work in extremely mineralized soils is highly impressive. Examples are wet sea beaches or the seawater search itself. In Czech conditions, however, the most important stability is when working on highly magnetic rocks (eg basalt in the Bohemian Central Mountains). These places were and still are a field for pulse detectors , which do not have discrimination. E-Trac seems to be changing this practice.
Technology used
Minelab E-Trac works with FBS broadband technology in the range from 1.5kHz to 100kHz. The signal received from the subject is analyzed by a wide range of responses. As a result, you have the opportunity to see and hear the characteristics of the signal (object) - their surface conductivity and iron content. The result of the technologies and functions used is a further shift in the range of the hobby metal detector, high sensitivity of the device, less susceptibility to interference and accurate signal identification.
