A special detector designed to search for natural gold and the finest metal targets. The great advantage of the 1000 is the absolute simplicity of operation. It is very noticeable that the detector is designed in such a way that no African prospector will have a problem with the setup. The high operating frequency combined with the detector's fast processor gives the detector a literally dreamy sensitivity and depth of range, especially on the smallest gold targets.
1. The discrimination of the detector is absolutely great. For a device at such a high operating frequency, this is something quite extraordinary and absolutely unexpected.
2. The two-tone resolution in discrimination mode is very pleasant and unambiguous
3. Even though the detector is designed primarily for the most minute targets and gold and operates at a really high working frequency, the overall range was not bad at all.
When comparing the detectors, the three curves in the chart represent the ability of each detector to find small gold nuggets of a certain size at the maximum depth possible. Most detectors will find a large nugget just below the surface, but the sensitivity of the detector determines how many smaller nuggets will eventually be discovered in heavy (heavily mineralized) soils and at greater depths.

A detector with a frequency of 18 kHz will have a depth advantage in finding nuggets ≥ 1.0 g over conventional mid-frequency instruments.A detector operating at 71 kHz will have a depth advantage in detecting ≤ 0.1 g. The highly advanced GOLD MONSTER 1000 uses a "mid" frequency of 45 kHz and a high-speed 24-bit processor. This primary combination significantly increases gold sensitivity, which is beyond the reach of other single frequencyVLF detectors over a wide range of nugget sizes without excessive noise and spurious signals.
Uses
In our conditions, the use of the 1000 is somewhat limited. There is relatively little natural gold. Still, I would venture to say that the Gold Monster could be a perfect tool for archaeologists, for example. The device does not miss even the smallest particles of metal and its operability is such that practically anyone can pick it up and go to work immediately. The range on classic objects in discriminative mode is average (on the MH polygon, for example, 2h RU 22 cm), since the detector is designed for for searching the smallest targets, the longer range is a bit undesirable. In All Metal mode the range increases by about 30%. However, the colour/iron resolution then takes place only on the LCD. All targets will echo the same in All Metal.
Key features of the Minelab Gold Monster 1000:
-
Automatic ground balance:
- The Gold Monster 1000 features fully automatic soil balancing, allowing the detector to work effectively in different mineralised soils without the need for manual adjustment, ideal for gold bearing areas with high levels of mineralisation.
-
Extra high gold sensitivity:
- The detector is equipped with features that provide high sensitivity to detect even very small pieces of gold, which is crucial for successful prospecting in known gold-bearing areas.
-
Digital discrimination:
- The Gold Monster 1000 uses advanced digital discrimination features to help identify and distinguish gold from ferrous trash and other unwanted metals. Users can see target identification on a digital display.
-
Easy to use:
- The detector is designed with ease of use in mind, with minimal setup and simple controls, making gold prospecting accessible to less experienced users.
-
Interchangeable coils:
- Coil included ( 5" DD), probe can be purchased (10 "x6" DD) changing the probe will allow searchers to adapt the detector to different search scenarios, from wide open areas to narrow spaces between rocks.
-
Improved audio system:
- The audio output is specifically designed to make it easy to detect gold-related audio signals. This includes different tones for different types of metals, making it easier for users to decide whether to dig.
-
Portability and durability:
- The Gold Monster 1000 is lightweight and easily portable, which is important for prospecting in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Its construction is robust and resistant to dust and moisture conditions.
Minelab The Gold Monster 1000 is the ideal detector for searchers looking for an efficient, reliable and easy-to-use tool to increase the chances of finding gold in a variety of environments and conditions.
