Archaeologists from Wrexham Museum, the University of Chester and Archaeological Survey West have discovered a Roman villa near Rossett in Wrexham thanks to reported finds by collaborating detectorists. The villa is the first of its kind ever discovered in north-east Wales and fundamentally breaks down previous assumptions about the area during the Roman period.
