4.2.2012 Bronze treasure from Carmarthenshire

The jewellery and weapons are contained in a depot found by a metal detectorist near County Kidwelly. This was announced by the National Museum of Wales. The find was declared a treasure nine years ago.

3.2.2016 Medals from World War I

The medal from the First World War was found by three searchers in Wales. They discovered it while they were resting and waved a metal detector around, which gave off a strong signal.

Adam Day has only been searching with a metal detector for three years and has already found a gold ring in a field. Probably belonged to the bishop. It was auctioned off for thousands of pounds three years ago.

1.2.2008 There was gold in the shipwreck

Thirteen years ago, miners discovered a shipwreck in the Namibian desert. Inside was a 500-year-old treasure. The Portuguese ship was filled with gold coins. Initial estimates put their value at around £9 million.

The unique silver coin was found nine years ago by a metal detector. The cent was struck during the reign of William the Conqueror, when coinage was booming. Seventy mints were in operation.

Part of a dolphin skull and a medieval arrowhead are among more than 9,500 artefacts discovered by archaeologists seven years ago during research around Cardigan Castle in Wales. It was built in the 12th century and its early history is very wild.

The silver coin depot was discovered by archaeologists thirteen years ago near Stockhlom. They come from all over the world and from different time periods. Experts have several theories as to who hid the hoard of 482 coins.

Archaeologists made an interesting discovery eight years ago. According to them, there was no system for storing and disposing of garbage in Pompeii. It ended up on the roofs of houses and even in graves.

A unique network of Roman military camps has been discovered by archaeologists in northern Spain. They include small fortresses and huge foundations covering up to 15 hectares.
