As we reported on LP recently, 3 different treasures from different periods were discovered in Poland within a few weeks just hundreds of meters from each other. Medieval, early medieval and Roman. All the finds were recorded by a single detectorist association. Now they know what the last jar contained: a beautiful gold necklace weighing 222 grams. It's the first of its kind found in Poland.

It is a sickle with an attachment; a very rare variant of British origin. It is evidence of the boom in trade and metalworking between the continent and the British Isles during the Atlantic Bronze Age.

The over 2,000-year-old Melsonby Hoard is ranked among the largest Iron Age discoveries in the UK. It was found by detectorist Peter Heads and expertly recovered by archaeologists from Durham University. It immediately became a sensation and a subject of interest worldwide. Now, thanks to public support and grants, it is part of a clamp in the Yorkshire Museum.
