The ossuary is one of Brno's biggest tourist attractions. Seven years ago, a key exhibition dedicated to artefacts on the theme of burial in history was finally completed. The coffins that researchers found there three years earlier have returned to the underground.

The massive gold necklace was found ten years ago by David Spohr using a metal detector. The jewel, estimated by experts to be worth £20,000, was discovered in a field in Dorset where cows normally graze.

Seven years ago, archaeologists discovered a unique burial site from the Middle Ages near the Teplá Monastery in the Karlovy Vary region. In total, they uncovered two dozen graves. The dead were stacked on top of each other in what is known as the etage method of burial.

Glass beads made by Roman craftsmen in the 1st and 4th centuries were found in Nagaoka, Japan, in 2012. They were found in an ancient tomb. According to experts, this clearly shows how much influence the Roman Empire had.
