Thirty years ago I was digging up a war plane near Mariánské Lázně. The aim was to find out what kind of machine it was and who was its pilot. We succeeded.

Gold brooch with emerald

A father of two (44) found a gold brooch with emeralds in a field near Cardigan, West Wales, using a metal detector. The jewellery is worth at least £10,000, according to experts. It dates back to the thirteenth century.

17.11.2004 They planted garlic and discovered a treasure

A couple from the village of Vienna near Velky Mezirici planted garlic and dug up a treasure. Specifically, coins from the 15th century. They couldn't keep them, but they could look forward to a legal reward and compensation for the garlic.

16.11.2007 4500 coins in the forge wall

A total of 4,500 ancient coins were discovered by archaeologists in Portugal fourteen years ago. The money was found in the wall of a former forge, where the owner had hidden it in a pouch and never retrieved it. The coins were bronze and copper.

15. 11. 2009 Fragment of prehistoric Venus

Part of a clay statue of a female body was discovered by archaeologists twelve years ago near Mohelno in the Třebíč region. It was located at the site of a prehistoric settlement from the Younger Bronze Age. It originally measured up to forty centimetres.
