Leopold I belonged to the Habsburg family, which was obvious at first sight. He had a typically large, overhanging lower lip. His nearly half-century reign was largely filled with wars. He died on 5 May 1705.

He was an astronomer, doctor of philosophy, politician and co-founder of Czechoslovakia. During the First World War he organized the Czechoslovak Legions in Serbia. Milan Rastislav Štefánik died after a plane crash on May 4, 1919.

Twelve shipwrecks in the Mediterranean

For five years, the British team behind the Enigma Shipwrecks Project kept secret the discovery of twelve shipwrecks in the Mediterranean. They're over 2,000 years old. They include a colossus from the Ottoman Empire that had precious oriental goods on board, including Chinese porcelain.
