This whole somewhat frantic trip started the Sunday before last at the shopping mall, when I got tired of constantly looking at last-minute tours. We went around to about 3 travel agencies in the mall asking for Greece or Spain and taking one of the first reasonable offers. The destination or similar attributes don't matter and about 7 hours later we are standing in Prague airport waiting for our flight to Larnaca.

I was looking forward to Golden Mask GM5 immensely. As the first reports and bits of information came in before the launch, the excitement grew more and more. And when the GM5 Finder finally arrived for my test, I fell in love with it at first sight: the slim modern design and sexy looks made an impression. But nothing is just about looks...

The world's first and oldest metal detector manufacturer, the American company FISHER Labs, introduced 3 new "F" series metal detectors in the middle of last year. A pleasant finding was that these new metal detectors have features that are otherwise only offered by detectors in a much higher price range.

Scottish detectorist Derek McLennan discovered a unique Viking treasure some time ago, consisting of many pieces of silver, gold and other artefacts, including a magnificent pot with previously hidden contents. However, that finally changed last week when the contents were finally removed and made public after being preserved by experts following previous scanning. What was hidden in the pot took the breath away from even the most experienced experts...

On 5 December 1761, the former world scientist Thaddeus Haenke (full name Thaddäus Peregrinus Xaverius Haenke) was born in Chřibská, North Bohemia. Later he received a number of other surnames - e.g. Czech Humboldt for his immense scientific and discovery contribution as a world-class botanist, or Don Tadeo or also Tata Heanke from the South American Indians who recognized him as a philanthropist, physician and bread winner.

We were actually brought to testing by a friend who was kind of "crying" that it just wasn't working out articles about beginner detectors and when they do come out, it's in the "professional detector for little money" style. He himself bought a GoFind 40 for the "young" guy, but he confiscated it and has been troubling it himself for a few months now. and even though he uses a number of professional instruments, he was thrilled with the GoFind in relation to the price of the detector.

So here is the first small testing this year of a new, completely revolutionary coil for PI detectors GPX series with patented spiral technology. The manufacturer Detech promised that nobody makes a better coil for GPX and so Dan, Peter and I went to our test polygon to verify this almost classic claim.
