In 2013, Slovak archaeologists discovered a treasure trove of copper coins quite by chance during their excavation work. They were found in the soil of a medieval castle above the village of Vinné in the Michalovce district.

In Wroclaw, Poland, a tram line to Popowice is currently under construction. Workers found an eighteenth- or nineteenth-century cannonball on the site. Similar projectiles were used on naval ships.

22 Jun 2007 Archaeologists have restored a rare denarius of Oldřich I.

The rare denarius of Oldřich I was jointly restored by Czech and Slovak archaeologists. It was discovered in Slovakia in Kostolany pod Tribečom. The coin was found in the mouth of a little girl.

Emil Malý discovered the coin treasure with a metal detector in the forests around Cheb. He found exactly 85 mints from the thirteenth century. He received a reward of CZK 276 from the state, the region subsequently increased the amount.

18 June 1910 The Loštice treasure contained silver denarii

During the lowering of the access road to the cottage in Loštice, a treasure was found in 1910. It contained 274 silver denarii. They were stored in a perpendicular container and a linen bag at a depth of about 60 centimetres below the surface.
