6.11. 1611 The Rosenbergs died out by the sword

The mighty House of Rosenberg died out after the sword in November 1611, i.e. after the death of Peter Voke. His embalmed body was displayed in the castle cellar, after which the coffin was closed. The funeral took place in January.

As early as May 1604, a group of conspirators had been planning a coup in England. The so-called Gunpowder Plot was intended to put Princess Elizabeth on the throne and get rid of King James I. The assassination attempt ultimately failed, and all the rebels were executed.

Dublin's new supermarket on Aungier Street has incorporated a Viking house dating from 1070, which was found during a recent archaeological survey. Customers can view the house through a glass floor and enjoy an authentic view of a vernacular building from almost a thousand years ago. In November 1922, British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter discovered the entrance to Tutankhamun's tomb and peered into it for the first time. Inside were three thousand-year-old intact treasures of incalculable value.
