Four years ago, archaeologists began researching the site where the B-17G bomber crashed. It happened on March 24, 1945 near Rychnov nad Kněžnou. It was heading for Berlin with 26 other planes.

Mike Burke (54) discovered a 2000-year-old Roman ring in the front garden of his house in Cornwall. He managed to find it with a metal detector he got for Christmas from his wife. The jewel depicts Ceres - the Roman goddess of crops and grain.

A preserved sickle from the Bronze Age was discovered two years ago by a mushroom picker in the forest near Hesov. It was a stranger who reported the find. He went mushroom picking while on holiday in Přibyslav.

Detectorists discover gold and silver pagan sacrifices; changing experts' views

Dozens of early medieval gold and silver coins and jewellery have been discovered near Hezingen in Twente. They were found with the help of metal detectors by two amateur archaeologists who went searching with permission in the Springendal nature reserve near the German border. They reported their discovery to Portable Antiquities Netherlands (PAN)...

2. 12. 1943 Bronze bracelets from Kychová

About twenty-five bronze bracelets were buried in the Kychová valley. When this happened is still unknown. The treasure was found in 1943. The bracelets date back to the Late Bronze Age.

1.12.2018 3,788 coins discovered in the forest

Exactly 3,788 one- and two-crown coins were discovered by a chance finder in the forest near the small village of Staročernsko in the Pardubice region. The depot was acquired by the Museum of East Bohemia. The coins date from 1946 to 1946, i.e. the period before the currency reform.
