31 July 1965 Treasure discovered by a digger during the demolition of a house

A stoneware container with silver coins was found in 1965 by a digger in Ostrava. He reported the find honestly. Experts from the local museum were called to the site. The treasure was probably hidden by someone around 1623.

An incredible collection of six hundred axes was amassed by Pavel Šín from Konice in the Prostějov region, who has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records. For example, he owns a Celtic axe from 250 BC.

Shamanic greeting from the Bronze Age: Carved snake staff in perfect condition

Finnish archaeologists have discovered a 4,400-year-old life-size wooden stick in the shape of a snake. It may have been a ritual tool of a Neolithic shaman. The half-metre long stick with a wide open snake mouth was carved from a single piece of wood. It lay perfectly preserved in the peat of a prehistoric wetland near the town of Järvensuo, about 100 km northwest of Helsinki...

Shocking findings were made by archaeological research in the vicinity of the theatre in Kladno. Researchers have discovered that hundreds of human skeletons are standing on top of it. Audience members sat just inches above the skeletons during performances.

In the past, Josef Růžička, the executioner from Dobrovice, used to walk on the road to Chlum in Mladá Boleslav. In 1779, he erected a cross there, supposedly to atone for his sins. The monument gradually declined, but six years ago it was restored.
