The exhibition "Celts and Germans on the Periphery" is the main output of the project of regional cooperation of the Institute of Archaeology of the CAS, Brno and the Museum of Highlands Jihlava "Celts and Germans in the region of the Dalešická Dam", implemented in the years 2021-2023 with the financial support of the Vysočina Region and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

A 3,500-year-old treasure trove of five rare Bronze Age axes has been discovered in the Starogard forest area of Kociewie, Poland. The collection is the first of its kind in Poland, surpassing previous individual finds in its extent and preservation.

A very good friend of mine, nicknamed Hombré since childhood, was born at the end of the 1930s. He was a serious shooter from his youth, who was not afraid of anything and went headlong into every adventure. He was very fond of dogs and from childhood he was fascinated by large dogs in particular. When the Germans were marching back to the Reich in the spring of '45 after losing the war, a German unit stopped in our village. The people were still afraid of the Germans, so the hungry and exhausted soldiers got a dumpling there, a pancake elsewhere and some coffee...

Success of the Polish Detectorist Association: the medieval treasure of the Crusader denarii

A small but historically significant hoard of medieval coins has been discovered just 15 cm deep in the woods on a hillside outside the town of Iława in northern Poland. The discovery was made by the town's detector club when its members, during a joint club thirteen complete silver coins and their fragments, mostly cross denarii.
