According to a recently published poll by the renovated PSL (Pull Someone's Leg) agency, most detectorists are willing to work exclusively under similar conditions to those in the much-vaunted UK. So ideally 100% reward for a find and legal search anywhere. Until now, the maximum reward in the Czech Republic was 10 % of the value of the treasure. Provided, of course, that it was not a discovery by a detector, but an accidental discovery. Because, as all archaeologists know, any search with a metal detector is basically a safe bet. Detectorist discovers unique gold necklace, heralds discovery of Iron Age settlement

At Ilsted in southern Denmark, a neckcloth dating from 400 - 550 AD was discovered with the help of a metal detector. It was found by an archaeological associate of the Museum of Southwest Jutland. He immediately contacted the archaeologists who, in cooperation with other detectorists, examined the entire field. They discovered a settlement with long Scandinavian houses from the late Iron Age.

Archaeologists discovered an extraordinary and well-crafted gold button fourteen years ago in the locality of Na Valách in Staré Město. It was hidden in the skull of a young woman who belonged to the family of a prominent great man.

The remains of an eighteenth-century Spanish ship were discovered by construction workers. This happened thirteen years ago near the banks of the La Plata River in the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires, where the port used to be. The vessel was wrecked here 300 years ago.

A unique find of Germanic weapons was found in 2003 by Jaroslav Zvurský in a forest near Jirkov. Specifically, eleven iron spearheads or spears, five shield handle fittings, four shield buds and a broken sword from the second century. Experts call this depot the Treasure of Hradečná.
