Celtic graves in South Moravia

Celtic graves from the 4th to 3rd century BC were found by archaeologists on the outskirts of Kuřim in the Brno region. One contained a warrior with a well-preserved sword, while another contained the remains of a woman buried with bronze jewellery.

The remains of a bridge with an interesting history were discovered by conservationists near the railway station in Ústí nad Orlicí. It dates back to 1844 and rumour has it that Adolf Hitler had it covered with concrete a hundred years later.

The Schmitt family from Florida made the discovery of a lifetime eight years ago. They've been treasure hunting for a long time, but none of the previous finds compare to the latest. They found gold coins and chains from shipwrecks in the Atlantic Ocean.

He fished a coin worth two million out of the water

First he found a silver coin, then after a while a gold one. Zach Moore discovered another piece of substrate from the wreck of a Spanish galleon worth over two million crowns. He's working under the banner of Mel Fisher's Treasures.

25 Aug 2007 Two rare tubes were found in the tower

Since the beginning of the nineteenth century, people in Javorník have been storing precious objects as a legacy for future generations in the chateau tower. Fourteen years ago, archive staff took a look inside. They found two tubes, but lost medals and two very rare coins.

24 Aug 2015 Grave of an ancient priest and rare coins

The archaeological excavation of the Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Javorník was successful. It is one of the oldest such monuments in Silesia. The archaeologists discovered the grave of a priest and coins, including two pieces of bractates of the Prince of Bytom from the early fourteenth century.
