Gift from Heaven - extraterrestrial objects in the golden treasure of Villena

In 1963, a Bronze Age gold treasure was discovered near the Spanish town of Villena. Among the beautiful gold artefacts were two iron ones, one decorated with gold. Ironworking technology in the Iberian Peninsula did not appear until around 850 BC, but these objects are at least 600 years older. Only new analyses have finally confirmed: the iron objects in the hoard are of extraterrestrial origin.

Excavator unearths thousand-year-old "Viking" sword in perfect condition

During the reconstruction of the banks of the Korte Linschoten river in Montfoort, the Netherlands, a thousand-year-old sword with inlays and significant symbolism was discovered. It was dug up by an excavator during the dredging of a dyke. The sword is very well preserved, incredibly light and dexterous. It was obviously custom-made, and must have been one of the absolute finest in its day.
