Unique discovery of gold Viking bracelets

An extraordinary treasure has been discovered in northern Jutland on the Himmerland peninsula - six massive gold bracelets from the late Viking period. Together they weigh three quarters of a kilogram. They are among the largest finds of Viking gold in Danish history.

A 13-year-old student found a very strange coin while walking in a field in Berlin's Spandau district. It comes from ancient Ilion (Troy) and was minted between 281 and 261 BC. Within Berlin, this is the first documented find of Greek antiquity directly in a hoard context. It remains a mystery to experts.
