In 1963, a Bronze Age gold treasure was discovered near the Spanish town of Villena. Among the beautiful gold artefacts were two iron ones, one decorated with gold. Ironworking technology in the Iberian Peninsula did not appear until around 850 BC, but these objects are at least 600 years older.
