As it happens, I planned a search with my friends for the weekend. Me, David and Brába went in a squad. We had the spot already from last time. The old quite inconspicuous path had already let something go the week before. Two Saxon grosz, 3kr. Ferdinand III and 1/24 thaler. David then 6kr.1849,10kr. FJI, a Polish poltorak and 2 Ag. So the place is quite nutritious.

2.2. 1124 - The Czech prince Bořivoj II died in Hungary.

Together with the German nobleman Wiprecht Grojcsky he helped to conquer Rome. He twice succeeded his brother Vladislaus I. Finally, Borivoj II had to flee to Hungary, where he also died on 2 February 1124.

1.2.1927 - First RAF Squadron

Hundreds of Czechoslovaks passed through the Royal Air Force (RAF). Thirty of them belonged to the 1st Fighter Squadron, which was disbanded in the autumn of 1926, but was re-established on 1 February the following year.

30.1. 1933 - Hitler became Reich Chancellor

The election of Adolf Hitler as Reich Chancellor on 30 January 1933 marked a major turning point in events in Germany, but also abroad. After taking power, the Nazis immediately began to settle old scores, and tens of thousands of Jews fled abroad.

29.1.1180 - The "peasant" prince Soběslav II died in exile.

The Bohemian prince Soběslav II surrounded himself with ignorant people, which earned him the nickname "the peasant prince". He died abroad on 29 January 1180, where he had to flee after a failed battle.

1,000-year-old graves of Scandinavian warriors found in Poland

Four richly furnished graves found in the middle of the medieval cemetery of the village of Ciepłe in eastern Poland contained the remains of Scandinavian men with complete armour. The furnishings and type of graves differed from all the others. The warriors have therefore raised many questions among archaeologists and historians, including who they were, why they are buried here and where they came from. The last question has only recently been answered by DNA analysis.

28.1 1975 - President Novotný, who survived Mauthausen, died

President Antonín Novotný went through the Mauthausen concentration camp. He was rescued by an SS man who needed his car repaired. After the war, the future president's career rose rapidly. He died on January 28, 1975.

27.1.1945 - Liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp

Hundreds of prisoners were waiting for the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp at the end of the Second World War. When the Nazis learned that the Red Army was approaching, many Jews were still shot.
