The night sky has fascinated us since time immemorial. While we can barely see dozens of stars in cities, thousands of them light up overhead in really dark places. But where can we find such places? We've put together a list of the best locations, both officially protected areas and good places within driving distance of major cities.

Originally I wanted to devote Saturday evening to new observations with S30 and go to Brdy. Unfortunately, Saturday's early evening sky put on quite a spectacle, but there was nothing to see. Sunday morning was thus spent well slept with the detector on a rescue archaeological survey of the Tismice hillfort, the first time I have been there. Again, a few nice pieces were found, but personally, despite a good number of colorful targets, I only had one item to turn in.

In this series of articles we will show how you can enjoy the night sky with the Seestar S30 and S50 smart telescopes. Most of the observations will be from Jílové near Prague, where unfortunately due to the big city about 10 km behind the houses the light conditions are very poor. Still, you can enjoy the night with Seestar. 😊
