1945 Calling all Czechs!

Exhibition "1945 Calling All Czechs!" presents the last phase of the Second World War in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia - a period of desperate German attempts at defence, but also of civil defiance, betrayal and courage. The exhibition will be open to the public at the Army Museum Žižkov from 30 April. Its authors are historians of the VHÚ Praha Tomáš Jakl and Jindřich Marek.

The Second Life of Venus - Exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Venus of Věstonice

The year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Venus of Věstonice, the most important archaeological find in our territory. This prehistoric statue, dating back to the time of the mammoth hunters, was found in Dolní Věstonice and became not only a symbol of prehistoric culture, but also an icon of motherhood, femininity, beauty and fertility.

1945 - Combined Troop Pomezí nad Ohří 27 April 2025

Exactly 80 years ago, in 1945, the Combined Brigade of the Czechoslovak Armoured Brigade entered the territory of its homeland. This exceptional event will be commemorated with a commemorative act in Pomezí nad Ohří, a place where history was literally written step by step.
