26.2.1361 King Wenceslas IV of Bohemia is born.

He did not have a happy childhood, his father Charles IV. initiated him into the duties of a ruler from a young age. He traveled abroad with him and worked his way up to the throne. Václav IV was crowned King of Bohemia even as a two-year-old boy, born on 26 February 1361.

25.2.1948 President Beneš accepted the resignation of the ministers

Some historians still refer to it as a fatal mistake that President Edvard Beneš accepted the resignation of ministers at the hands of Klement Gottwald. This happened on 25 February 1948. The Communists came to power.

24.2.1527 Ferdinand I was crowned King of Bohemia.

Small, pale and his mouth was always open. This is how historical sources describe Ferdinand I of Habsburg, who was crowned King of Bohemia on 24 February 1527. He promised to fill the half-empty treasury.

23.2. 1943 speech K. H. Frank in Lucerna

Increased labour requirements, total deployment in the Reich and the liquidation of production not relevant to the war. This followed a speech by the State Secretary of the Reich Protector's Office, K. H. Frank, which he delivered on 23 February 1943 in the Lucerna in Prague.

22.2.1759 - "Napoleon's" General Lecourbe is born

In French history he scored several major victories. Eventually he offered his services to Napoleon himself, with whom he was not on good terms. General Claude-Jacques Lecourbe was born on 22 February 1759.

20.2.1411 - Jošt Lucemburský was buried

He was one of the most able politicians, and was even elected king of Rome. He is also described in historical sources as a very ambitious man who changed his mind as he saw fit. Jošt Lucemburský (Moravian) died at Špilberk and was buried on 20 February 1411 in the Church of St. Thomas.

17.2.1754- Maria Theresa orders a census

The first census on our territory was ordered by Maria Theresa on 17 February 1754. According to the results, we were one of the most densely populated European countries at that time. But this step of the Austrian monarch also provoked resistance. Some did not even believe that a census had actually taken place.

16.2.1862 The Czech Sokol Community was founded

In a healthy body a healthy spirit! In the mind, a country, in the arm, strength! Let us strive! This is the motto of the Czech Sokol Community, which is the most successful physical education organization in our country. It was founded by Miroslav Tyrš and Jindřich Fügner on 16 February 1862.

15 February 1853 Unsuccessful assassination of Franz Joseph I.

János Libényi, a tailor's journeyman and nationalist, was sentenced to death for the unsuccessful assassination of Franz Joseph I. He attacked the future Austrian emperor while walking on the walls of Vienna. It happened on 15 February (also reported as 18 February) 1853.

13. 2. 1960

13.2.1960 Czech Egyptologist František Lexa died

Czech Egyptology has gained fame all over the world. Its foundations were laid by Professor František Lexa, whose teachers included Alois Jirásek. He translated one chapter of the Book of the Dead into Czech and was dean of Charles University. He died on 13 February 1960.
