IP66
The level of protection of the equipment against the ingress of solid particles and water.
The IP66 rating is part of a standardized system of rating equipment for protection from the elements, known as an Ingress Protection (IP) rating. This system defines the level of protection of equipment against the ingress of solid particles (such as dust) and water.
The IP66 classification consists of two digits, each of which specifies a particular level of protection:

First digit (6): protection against solid particles.
- The number 6 indicates that the device is fully dust-tight. This means that it is completely protected against the ingress of dust or other small particles. This level of protection guarantees that no solids can penetrate the device, which is the highest level of protection against particulate matter in the IP classification.

Second digit (6): protection against liquids.
- The number 6 means that the device is protected against strong jets of water or against high pressure water jets from any direction. This level of protection ensures that the device can withstand heavy spray or water impacts without damage or water ingress to internal parts.
