Volume Profiles
The Volume Profiles feature of the detector allows the user to select different sound profiles that adjust how the detector responds to targets using sound. For example, the Simple, Medium and Rich profiles used by Minelab Manticore provide different levels of detail and complexity in the audio response to a detected metal object.
-
Simple profile:
This profile provides the simplest audio response, where sounds for targets are minimized to a basic form. The detector emits fewer tonal nuances, making it easier to detect the object without unnecessary audio complexity.- Benefit: Easily recognizable signals with minimal interference, ideal for beginners or quick searches.
- Use: Suitable for less experienced searchers or for situations where a simple and clear response is needed.
-
Medium:
This profile offers more audio information than Simple, while still maintaining relative simplicity. The finder gets a more detailed response that includes more tones and allows better differentiation between different types of metals.- Advantages: balanced between simplicity and informativeness, a good compromise for a wide range of conditions.
- Use: For more experienced users who want more target detail but do not require a complex audio response.
-
Rich Profile:
This profile offers the most comprehensive audio response, where the detector provides detailed information about the target. The rich spectrum of tones allows advanced prospectors to analyze metal characteristics, depth and size with greater accuracy.- Benefits: the most informative audio response that improves the ability to distinguish complex signals and characterize finds.
- Use: For advanced prospectors who want maximum control over signal analysis and detailed information about each target.
These profiles allow the user to customize the audio experience based on the amount of information they want to hear while searching.
