This time we got our hands on a detector from the year 93, which was quite exceptional, as it was able to use two working frequencies.
Minelab The XT-17000 went on sale in January 1993. The biggest draw to it was the ability to use two operating frequencies, 6.9 kHz for conventional prospecting and 32 kHz for natural gold prospecting. However, according to what the company itself stated in its advertisements at the time, the detector was designed primarily for natural gold prospecting. (There is even a downloadable manual from the LP article on the history of Minelab )
One interesting thing that appeared on the XT 17000 was the automatic soil balance. The detector, even though it was 93, could already adjust the GB on its own. Which wasn't bad for its time.
Ac discrimination is a separate chapter, as the irons here report with a strange "ringing clucking" tone. In addition, I have a strong feeling that the discrimination doesn't go as it should. So Peter went all the way through and we ended up at the procak, where there is not much to deal with.
The rest of the design corresponds to the "old" Minelab school. Both in terms of the design of the electronics box and in terms of the guide rod. It's definitely worth mentioning that the detector was already able to use a 2D probe :)
As you will see in the video, the detector performed very well on the polygon and for the time of its creation is 1993, very, very decent :)

Krásný, čistý a nadčasový design panelu ovládací jednotky.
30 let od uvedení na trh a rozhodně by detektor neurazil ani dnes. A ta plná cívka, to je dokonalost sama

Proč se výrobci jako Minelab, Tesoro, GM.... nevydali cestou 9V baterie jako Fisher a rvali do všeho 8 ks mono?
Namor- 8*AA je daleko tvrdší zdroj než 9V baterka.Proto např. Tesoro u řady umax používalo 9V baterii, výkonější modely jako Tejon,Lobo atd už pak měli napájená na 8*AA Protože by to ta 9tka neutáhla.

Koukal jsem, že i Fisher u mnoha modelů ustoupil od 9V.
Namor- Jinak doufám že dnes jsi spokojený :D a přístroj je už na tvůj vkus dostatečně starý :D.
Bohužel, podobných strojů je v u nás i v Evropě opravdu po pár funkčních kusech...

Super je v historii Minelabu dobový návod. Jinak jak píše Kim, je fakt v krásném stavu. Je to mašinka od nás nebo z venku?
Je zapůjčená od nás z Čech, dovezl jí otec jednoho zákazníka co si k nám přišel pro Vanquish 540 časně po revoluci přímo z Austrálie
Slušný. A neříkal za kolik peněz? V návodu jsem to nenašel.
