New in-depth metal detector sets from Garrett and new (lower) prices

The quest for greater range has been around for as long as metal detectors themselves. As it happened, we recently had the opportunity to test the new Ultimáté coils from Detech, designed for the Apex and Vortex metal detectors.

Help uncover the history of the Proseč region. Your discoveries could feature in a new book

The town of Proseč approached our friend, the archaeologist and writer Honza Vízner, to write a book for them covering the prehistory and the Middle Ages (up to the 13th century) of the Proseč region...

Atlas of Old Trails and Paths in the Czech Republic

Where did the old trade and land routes run, along which people travelled hundreds and even thousands of years before today’s roads were built? We have recently added Radan Květ’s Atlas of Old Trails and Routes in the Czech Republic to the LP range – an exceptionally interesting publication featuring around 150 maps, reconstructions of dozens of long-distance and regional routes, and a large map of the historical network of routes across our country.

Vaonis Atlas – a new era of smart telescopes begins

The Minelab Vanquish 360 for 5,590 Kč. This is what your first metal detector should look like

Minelab has significantly reduced the price of the Vanquish 360 model. It is now available for 5,590 Kč including VAT, which is approximately 23 per cent cheaper. This change has been necessitated by the fact that the Vanquish 340 is gradually being phased out (we’ve stocked up in advance and still have around 50 units in stock), and there would otherwise be a sudden gap in this price segment. So, until comes up with a simple single-frequency detector, everyone has the chance to get a Vanquish 360 at a great price. Minelab

Although there’s still one more day of voting left in the August competition, I’d say the result is pretty much decided, and as the qualifying round only runs until Monday morning, we’ll go ahead and launch it today.
