16 Sep 2010 Grave of a Langobard warrior

A unique discovery was made eleven years ago by archaeologists near Kyjov in southern Moravia. They discovered an intact grave of a sixth-century Langobard warrior. He was buried with a sword, shield and spear.

11 Sep 2019 Bronze bucket finder gets 340,000

Exactly 340,500 crowns were awarded to the finder of the bronze bucket in Pardubice. The reward was paid by the region. The treasure was discovered by a man near the village of Kladina near Sezemice.

5 Sep 2017 Arab coin from Uherské Hradiště

A rare Arab coin from the eighth century and other objects from the Middle Ages were discovered four years ago by archaeologists in Uherské Hradiště when they were exploring the cellar of the former elementary art school. They also found a deformed gold bracelet.

25 Aug 2007 Two rare tubes were found in the tower

Since the beginning of the nineteenth century, people in Javorník have been storing precious objects as a legacy for future generations in the chateau tower. Fourteen years ago, archive staff took a look inside. They found two tubes, but lost medals and two very rare coins.
