The rich grave goods, including weapons and jewellery, suggest that the village was well prosperous. According to scientists, the settlement is unparalleled in France.

The 2500-year-old Scythian harness was found by Polish detectorists who have long been cooperating with the local heritage office. Thanks to their experience and knowledge, they have secured the site for archaeologists without damaging the finds. The result is a unique discovery: the first complete Iron Age horse harness of its kind found in Central and Eastern Europe.

Unique detector find of a female medieval seal

A silver seal from the late 13th century was found in the spring of 2019 using a metal detector on the grounds of a local trade school. Due to the quality of the material, it is in near-original, excellent condition. Medieval seals bearing a woman's name are among the very rare finds, especially for a family of such status.

The Golden Treasure of the Prince of Saxony

A group of scientists at Kazakhstan's Al Farabi National University, led by archaeologist and professor Abdesh Tileubaev, has discovered a unique harness fitting made of almost perfectly pure gold with elements never seen before. It belongs to the mound of a Scythian ruler, located at the Eleke Sazy burial site in eastern Kazakhstan.
